Synopsis
Koyaa wants to paint some watercolors while Mr. Raven is crafting a cardboard birdhouse. Koyaa grabs his brush to start painting but the canvas starts folding all by itself – once, twice ... – flying off as a paper airplane.

Kolja was born in 1981 in Slovenia. He received his Master’s degree in Film Studies from the ECAL Univeristy, Lausanne (Switzerland). He is active in the field of film as a director, actor and producer. When he was fifteen, he made his debut in the short film "Forward" by Boris Petkovic, followed by roles in short films like "Robbery of the Century", "Dark Side of the Moon" and feature films like "Fuck", "Blind Spot", "Installation of Love". As an assistant director, he participated in the making of Academy Award winning film "No Man's Land". Together with Marko A. Kovacic, he directed three animated short films featuring the Plastos Civilization. His most interesting production is the "Koyaa", series, whose episodes have been broadcast on Slovenian national television since 2005 and have been presented at various festivals including Giffoni. In 2009, he realized a short puppet animated film entitled "Kiddo 'Slingshot'" (screened in Giffoni 2010) as director, co-writer and co-producer. Kolja is an assistant professor at the School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica, and the director of the production company ZVVIKS, based in Ljubljana - Slovenia.
