“44 GATTI”: THE NEW INTERNATIONAL ANIMATED SERIES BY RAINBOW AT #GIFFONI2018

Sunday, July 22, the special event dedicated to the cartoon made in co-production with Antoniano Bologna and in collaboration with Rai Ragazzi

“44 Gatti” (44 Cats), the brand-new cartoon of the Rainbow Group, will be presented on Sunday July 22 at the 48th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, in a special event dedicated to the Elements +3 jurors.

A unique opportunity, for the 500 children that make up the jury, to watch an episode of the highly anticipated and upcoming television series (premiering on TV in November on Rai Yoyo), with the cartoon characters walking the Blue Carpet for the festival audience.

The series is the first pre-school production of Rainbow (the content company known throughout the world for its animated and multimedia productions), created in co-production with Antoniano Bologna and in collaboration with Rai Ragazzi, mixing music and edutainment with a very high quality animation.

Born from the genius and creative inspiration of Iginio Straffi, founder and president of Rainbow, “44 Gatti” deals with important issues such as diversity, tolerance, solidarity, always transmitting positive values in an amusing way. Made in CGI and consisting of 52 episodes, the series will be distributed in 2019 on the international market.

The title is inspired by the famous song “44 Gatti” which, in 1968, won the tenth edition of the Zecchino d'Oro and, since then, is one of the most representative songs of the children’s kermesse, now part of the collective imagination of Italians. Music plays a central role in the series and there are over 20 songs interpreted by the Piccolo Coro “Mariele Ventre” dell’Antoniano.

The protagonists are four very nice cats, Lampo, Milady, Pilou and Polpetta, who play in a band called “Buffycats”. In each episode, the four cats will live a series of entertaining adventures around the city and in evocative places, dealing with demanding challenges and helping the many friends who ask for their support to solve problems

The special event of July 22 in Giffoni 2018 includes, in addition to the screening of an episode of “44 Gatti”, many other fun activities: The Elements +3 jurors, indeed, will be involved in a karaoke with the songs from the show, already beloved by the children and known thanks to the Zecchino D'Oro. The little ones will also be presented with cat ears to fully enter the world of the beloved felines. To find out more visit www.giffonifilmfestival.it and www.44gatti.it.
