The fifth edition of Giffoni Macedonia has wrapped up, but the desire to look to the future does not stop. "I have been able to appreciate the attention, the liveliness, the energy and the great commitment of public and private organizations, that have favored the continuity and success of the event - explains Gex director Claudio Gubitosi - proof of Giffoni's interest in this regional hub, we confirm that for the next three years we will allocate additional projects and new ongoing activities in the field of training, innovation and production to Macedonia".

Acknowledgment goes to Macedonian Minister of Culture Robert Alagjozovski, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Lasovski, Director of the Cinematheque Vladimir Angelovski, Minister of Labor Todorche Taveski and Ambassador of Italy Carlo Romeo. A successful initiative also thanks to the commitment of the director of the National Film Agency, Gorjan Tozija, co-producer of the event and of the volunteers, who were incredible supporters and a great contribution to the success of this edition. Giffoni Macedonia enjoys the co-financing of our Ministry of Culture, Directorate General for Cinema.

"To director Darko Basheski who, with determination and professionalism, has organized this fifth edition - adds Gubitosi - our congratulations which must be extended to the whole team and, in particular, to the professional Dea Krstevska. In January, I will go to Skopje again to sign a wider and more structured cooperation protocol".

So excited by the 13 giffoners who actively participated in the Macedonian Festival: "We have been very busy - say the jurors - we were divided into two groups,"seniors" and "cadets", according to our age and each morning engaged in the important task of watching the films in competition, choosing the ones with the deepest meaning and the best quality".

The young people made themselves at home in the festival city, and had a more open mindset open to globalization and equality. "We of the Italian delegation also participated in the photography course - they continued - an opportunity to discover Macedonia's capital, Skopje, and get us in touch with what are the nuances of this magical city. We are very grateful to Giffoni for this unforgettable adventure".
