The 47th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival has come to an end but the festival is still under the spotlight. This is proved by the thousands features that have covered the event, such as Italian newspapers and magazines (La Repubblica, Il Corriere della Sera, Il Messaggero, Avvenire and Vanity Fair), international newspapers (Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Justjared, Daily Mail and Metro), press agencies (Ansa, Adnkronos, La Presse, Aska, Agi, 9Colonne, Il Velino, Italpresse, Dire) and many other Italian and international web-magazines. On average, there have been 60 press agencies’ launches, 150 features and 200 web news about the Giffoni Film Festival every day.
The social accounts had an exponential growth as well: Giffoni’s Facebook page reached more than 150.000 likes, an achievement that has been made possible thanks to the thousands of interactions through the day by day posts and the live streaming of Meet the Stars.
As for Instagram, the account reached more than 18.000 active followers (with almost 3 thousand followers in only nine days). The pictures with the highest number of ‘like’ and shared the most are those featuring Kit Harington of Game of Thrones, Bryan Cranston, Amy Adams, Laura Esquivel, Favj, Cristiana Capotondi and Julianne Moore, as well as videos, meme and curiosities. The most popular hashtags on Twitter, among the 51.000 followers and fans of the festival, were Giffoni2017, Amy Adams, Kit Harington and Game of Thrones, with over 57 thousand visualizations of the account every day.
The TV also played an important role to involve all those who couldn’t attend the event. Over 50.000.000 spectators followed the festival through the numerous programs broadcast by the media partners, such as: Mediaset, Rai and Sky.
