Games of Thrones’ star Kit Harington is greatly awaited in the Cittadella on the 19th July. Only few hours after the première of the seventh season, the 31-year-old British actor will be the guest of Meet the Stars at Giffoni Film Festival, where the jurors will have the opportunity to retrace his career’s path and talk about his future cinematographic commitments.
Harington, whose family has always been fond of the theatre (his mother, Deborah Jane Catesby, is former theatre director), has nurtured his passion for drama since he was 14 years old, when he watched the performance of ‘Waiting for Godot’ for the first time.
The first film he was booked for is War House but it was Game of Thrones to crown him with success. Harrington will also be soon involved in BBC miniseries Gunpowder, presenting the real story hidden behind The Gunpowder Plot, the failed attempt of a group of English Catholics trying to murder King James I and blow up the House of Lords in 1605. Kit Harington will be awarded the Giffoni Experience Award.
