BIOGRAPHY:
Mark Ruffalo, the acclaimed American actor and director whose work includes highly praised turns in The Avengers, Foxcatcher, Zodiac, Shutter Island, Begin Again and The Kids Are All Right, is set to make an appearance at the 45th edition of the Giffoni Experience, July 17 - 26 in Giffoni Valle Piana (SA).
The american actor will arrive in Giffoni to meet the Festival’s young international jurors and to receive the Giffoni Experience Award. Ruffalo, a two–time academy award nominee in 2011 and 2015 for The Kids Are All Right and Foxcatcher respectively, is set to appear in a string of upcoming high-profile releases. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, the second installment of the superhero Marvel Comics franchise, Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. In Spotlight he stars opposite Michael Keaton and Rachel McAdams in the true story of the massive child molestation scandal and cover-up that shook the Catholic Church to its core. Finally, in 2016 Ruffalo will star in Now You See Me: The Second Act, the sequel to the 2013 hit Now You See Me, helmed by director Jon M. Chu and co-starring Michael Caine and Daniel Radcliffe. Ruffalo made his directorial debut in 2010 with the film Sympathy for Delicious, which won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. In addition to Ruffalo, the film starred Orlando Bloom, Juliette Lewis, and Laura Linney.
