WHAT IS MYGIFFONI IN BRIEF
MyGIFFONI stems from GFF's idea and mission to promote films for youth and made by youth. Giffoni has been supporting school pupils who want to make films for years travelling to their schools giving technical aid and tutorials on how to make films.
MyGiffoni refers to audiovisual works made by students with the support of their schools or cultural associations.
MyGiffoni is a creative space aimed at promoting films that school pupils have been able to create and produce. The winners of the competition will be awarded during the 47th GFF taking place from 14 to 22 July 2017.
Organization
MyGiffoni is organized by Giffoni Experience.
Sections
1. National competition for films made by young videomakers aged from 6 to 10, from Italian primary schools and charities.
2. National competition for films made by young videomakers aged from 11 to 13, from Italian secondary junior schools and charities.
3. National competition for films made by young videomakers aged from 14 to 20, from Italian secondary high schools and charities.
Awards
Each section will be given two awards:
“Giffoni Experience 2017 Award”
to the best short filmo
AUDIENCE AWARD, (audience can vote online)
Who is the competition for?
The competition is for films made after January 2015 by videomakers, or schools. All films are accepted except for school plays and music videos less than 12 minute long (including credits).
How to join the competition and when?
Entering is free. You may join from March 1 2017. Films must be entered by 30 May 2017..
Films are usually uploaded on Youtube;
Schools must provide for all the necessary releases and right in order to upload the film on youtube.
Under aged video makers must provide a release agreement signed by their parents.
Kindly note the competitions is for Italian schools only.
Voting and awards
Voting will take place from June 1 to June 8 2017.
12 giugno 2017, Giffoni Experience will announce the winners by June 12 2017.
