Synopsis

A little polar bear migrates to a Europe that has by now become tropical. A misguided attempt at integration into the local brown bear culture turns him pink. Together with his new friend, a penguin in exile, he finds his place in the new world.

 

Sinossi

Un piccolo orso polare migra verso un'Europa ormai divenuta tropicale. A causa di un maldestro tentativo di integrazione nella cultura locale degli orsi bruni, si trasforma in un orsetto rosa. Tuttavia, insieme al suo nuovo amico, un pinguino in esilio, l’orso trova il suo posto nel nuovo mondo.

Born in 1982 in Rheinau. 1999-2002 Trains as teacher. 2002-04 Works as Kindergarten teacher. Since 2005 attends HGKL (Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Luzern), animation department. She directed: Mutabar (2006, experimental); Lost In Thought (2006, music film); Circumvenire (2006, essay); Tim & Lucy (2007); Planets Recycled (2007, co-director), Elemiah And The Strawberrytree (2008); Pink Nanuq (2009); Ghosttrain (2009, music film).

 

Jeanine Reutemann
È nata nel 1982 a Rheinau. Dal 1999 al 2002 si forma come insegnante. Tra il 2002 e il 2004 lavora come insegnante di scuola materna. Dal 2005 frequenta il dipartimento di animazione della HGKL (Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Luzern). Ha diretto MUTABAR (2006), LOST IN THOUGHT (2006), CIRCUMVENIRE (2006), TIM & LUCY (2007), ELEMIAH AND THE STRAWBERRYTREE (2008), PINK NANUQ (2009).
